The "Mexican rap" trend is Bulin 47
The clip people in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf call the "Mexican rap trend" (ترند الراب المكسيكي) is the Bulin 47 freestyle. The singer is not Mexican: Bulin 47 is a Dominican dembow artist, the clip was filmed in Madrid, Spain, on 2 October 2026, and Kevin Wai, the fan with the speaker, is Colombian. To make your own version, upload one photo to the Bulin 47 video maker on Bulin47Video.io. Each Google account gets a free 2-second preview first.

One trend, many names
The names change from country to country, but the clip is the same: Kevin Wai's 46-second TikTok. These are the names we found, checked on 14 October 2026.
| Name | Where you see it | Where we found it |
|---|---|---|
| ترند الراب المكسيكي ("the Mexican rap trend") | Saudi Arabia and the Gulf | Google suggestions in Saudi Arabia |
| مين هو المكسيكي؟ ("who is the Mexican?") | Saudi Arabia | Google suggestions in Saudi Arabia |
| رقصة الكتف ("the shoulder dance") | Egyptian and pan-Arab media | Youm7 TV, 13 October 2026 |
| ترند هز الكتف ("the shoulder-shake trend") | Arabic searches | Google suggestions in Saudi Arabia and Egypt |
| ترند الراب الإسباني ("the Spanish rap trend") | Arabic TikTok and YouTube titles | Video titles, October 2026 |

| Dame Hombro challenge | Everywhere | The song of the same name, released 7 October 2026 |
Who the "Mexican" really is
Why "Mexican", then? None of the posts we read explain it. Our reading: the rap is in Spanish, and Arabic posts often file Spanish-language rap under Mexico; several also call the song "the Spanish song". Either way, nobody in the clip is Mexican.
| In the clip | Who | From |
|---|---|---|
| The singer in the pink shirt and sunglasses | Bulin 47 (Hancel Teodoro Vargas Reynoso) | Dominican Republic |
| The fan holding the speaker, back to the camera | Kevin Wai, also called Kevincito | Colombia |
| The place | Outside a restaurant, at night, 2 October 2026 | Madrid, Spain |
What it is not
- The Mexican rapper with gold on his head. Searching "مغني الراب المكسيكي" also brings up Dan Sur, a Mexican rapper who said in 2021 that he had gold chains implanted in his scalp (BET). He has nothing to do with this clip.
- "الترند المكسيكي" in Jeddah. In Saudi Arabia the same words also mean a Mexican food trend at restaurants in Jeddah and Riyadh. Different thing.
- Footballers and politicians rapping. Those are AI edits of this clip, not new performances: real or AI?
How the Arab world joined in
On 13 October 2026, Egypt's Youm7 TV hosted Bulin 47 and Kevin Wai live, calling them the stars of the "shoulder dance" trend (Youm7). The same day, Egyptian actors Mustafa Gharieb, Rahma Ahmed, Mohamed Nasser and Ahmed Bla posted their own real-life take, filmed with a phone just like the original. Both are below, credited to the original posts.
Make the "Mexican rap" video with your photo
On Bulin47Video you do not need the original file, a prompt or an editor: the 15 seconds, the camera and the original sound are already set up. Other tools work differently (Higgsfield, Dreamina and Genematic compared), and the full tutorial covers the photo that works best.
- 1
Open the Bulin 47 video maker on your phone or computer and sign in with Google.
- 2
Add one clear photo: one person facing the camera, shoulders in frame, no sunglasses. Your own photo, or an adult who said yes.
- 3
Tick the permission box and press the button. Your first render can be the free 2-second preview; the full video is 10 credits at 480p.
- 4
Wait about 4 to 15 minutes, then download the version with sound. If TikTok mutes it, post the silent copy: how to post it.
