The angry dance trend, explained
The angry dance trend is the TikTok Bad Times argument dance under a second name: the same CapCut template, reposted from about 19 October 2026 as the "Angry Dance filter". You upload one photo and get a short clip of that person jabbing fingers at the camera, pushing a palm into the lens and storming back for the last word, set to "BAD TIMES" by Imael Angel. To make an angry dance video you can use that template, film it yourself, or use the Bad Times AI video here, which re-shoots it from one photo in 14 seconds.

Why we ask
Putting someone’s face in a video without their OK can break privacy and image-rights laws, and that responsibility is yours. So you confirm three things: you are the person or have their OK, they are an adult, and they are not a celebrity or a politician. We keep the time you confirmed with the request.

Why it is called the angry dance trend
The routine looks like a dance made of anger: pointing, stop hands, a hip pop, a lunge. Repost accounts that share CapCut templates started using "angry dance" and "angry argument AI dance effect" in captions, often with a famous face as the example. The original creators of the trend call it Bad Times, after the song.
The remix our generator follows, by @desytexas, is captioned #angrydance; the template post by @modestinomele0 is just "Angry dance". Same moves as every Bad Times post:
What angry dance trend tags really show
Searching the angry dance trend on TikTok is confusing, because the plain tag is old and full of other things; for examples or the template, search "Bad Times" rather than "angry dance". What the tag pages held on 27 October 2026:
| Tag | What is in it |
|---|---|
| #angrydance | Mostly unrelated clips: classical dance showing anger, school jokes, "dance the anger away" videos from 2020 to 2026 |
| #angrydancefilter | A few template posts, including "How to make the Bad Times dance video effect" (18 October) |
| #badtimes | The real trend: the original takes (22.5 million plays and up) and the template posts (4.8 million) |
How to make an angry dance video: 3 ways
- 1
Template: on TikTok, open a Bad Times or angry dance template post, tap the "CapCut" label above the creator name, choose "Use template" and add one photo. Export and post.
- 2
Film it: set the phone at chest height, choose the BAD TIMES sound in TikTok, and act the argument in one continuous take: two steps in, finger jabs, palm, turn, hand on hip, back in.
- 3
AI from one photo: open the Bad Times AI video page, add a clear photo of yourself or your pet, and get a 14-second 9:16 MP4 with the sound on, plus a silent copy. 10 credits at 480p.
Angry dance with a pet
Pets are the most played angry dance variant after real couples, and a pet angry dance is easy to read without sound. A dog standing on its hind legs in a kitchen passed 12.6 million plays, and AI cats and huskies followed. If you use an AI tool, pick a photo where the animal faces the camera and its front legs are visible.
Angry dance ideas that work
- An angry dance trend video aimed at a partner who ate your leftovers: caption it, then let your angry dance do the rest.
- An angry dance from your dog, aimed at whoever is holding the phone: pets standing up are the angry dance trend version people share most.
- A parent or grandparent doing an angry dance trend video, with their permission and their own photo.
- Two takes side by side: the real angry dance you filmed, then the AI angry dance video of the same person.
Mistakes to avoid
- Using a celebrity photo. Many reposts do, but TikTok bans AI content that falsely shows public figures in some contexts, and it is easy to cross that line.
- Using a photo of a child. TikTok does not allow AI content with the likeness of anyone under 18.
- Skipping the label. Turn on TikTok's AI-generated content setting for AI versions (TikTok's rules).
- Expecting angry dance trend music to be a different track. It is the same "BAD TIMES" sound.

Questions people ask
Is this angry dance filter a real TikTok filter?
No. It is not one of TikTok’s built-in effects; it is a CapCut template linked from TikTok posts, the same one used for the Bad Times trend.
What song is used in the angry dance trend?
"BAD TIMES" by Imael Angel, the same sound as the Bad Times trend.
Can I do the angry dance trend for free?
Filming it yourself is free. CapCut templates are set by CapCut. The AI version here costs 10 credits at 480p, with a free 2-second preview first for each Google account.
Where do I find an angry dance trend template?
Search "angry dance" or "Bad Times template" on TikTok and open a post with the CapCut label above the creator name. Angry dance trend templates and Bad Times templates are the same one.
How long is an angry dance video?
Angry dance template posts run about 14 to 36 seconds with their tutorial part. The angry dance trend clip made here is 14 seconds, 9:16.
Can two people make an angry dance trend video together?
Filmed for real, yes: couples doing an angry dance at each other are some of the most played versions. The AI angry dance video here has one lead per video.
What is the difference between angry dance and Bad Times?
Only the name. Angry dance is what template reposts call it; Bad Times is what the first creators call it. An angry dance trend video and a Bad Times video share one template, one sound and one set of moves.
Who made the angry dance filter?
Nobody has claimed the name. The angry dance template copies the Bad Times routine first posted by @bouuhyachaka on 20 August 2026; template accounts gave it the angry dance name later.
Is the angry dance trend only on TikTok?
TikTok is where the angry dance trend and its template spread, but an angry dance video is a plain 9:16 clip, so it plays on Reels and Shorts too.
Why does my angry dance video not look like me?
Templates often keep the template’s clothes and body. Use a sharp, front-facing photo, or an AI tool that draws your own outfit from the photo.
