How to make the Dame Hombro AI effect

One move, many names

• English: "shoulder dance", "move your shoulder", "Dame Hombro effect".
• Spanish: "efecto IA Dame Hombro", "plantilla Dame Hombro", "mueve el hombro".
• Arabic: "رقصة الكتف" (the shoulder dance), the name Egyptian media use (Al-Masry Al-Youm). In the Gulf the clip is also called the "Mexican rap" trend.

Steps in CapCut

   Find a post that carries the template. On 19 October 2026 TikTok's Move Your Shoulder Trend page had creators tagged #capcutpioneer explaining it. Or open CapCut, go to Templates and search "Dame Hombro".

   Pick one with plenty of uses and watch its preview. Templates are made by users, so the name tells you little.

   Tap "Make the same video" or "Use template" and add the photo it asks for: one person, face visible, waist up.

4. 4

   Preview and export. Play the file: if the sound is missing, add "Dame Hombro" from TikTok's or Instagram's sound library when you post.

   Mark it as AI-generated when you post (TikTok's rules).

What the effect cannot do

• Put you in the real clip. The scene is the template's, not the Madrid street.
• Move your mouth with the rap. The effect animates a dance, not the freestyle lines.
• Keep the same look from one template to the next. Each one is a different creator's edit.
• Make the face move with the body. Some templates lay your photo over the motion (more on templates).
